And I presume that it is, does every person look different to every other person? My perfect heaven would for example have my gran, at 'gran' age, and my parents in their 50's, and me at about the age I am now (late 20's). But I doubt the happiest time in my grans life was when she was 80, and I doubt that my mothers fondest memories of her mum are when she was 80.
If this is the case, then heaven must be some sort of illusion. Or when things are perfect, are physical forms no longer relevant. Appreciate your thoughts.

Ah, properwire, you are indeed far wiser than I. Except you can't spell 'weak', and you cant' type 'parents' correctly. It was a question as I am curious for peoples views, not so that I can try and cope with death. Frankly, the thought of eternal oblivion terrifies me so hard I have to block it out of my thoughts. But thanks for your support and understanding. Heaven is waiting for you

I can give you some of the standard orthodox Christian views on heaven.
First, we are to receive new bodies, so physical forms do seem to mean something. It may be a completely different kind of physicality, however. The classical example is the body of Christ after the resurrection. To the apostles he appeared several times in a seemingly human form, but they never quite recognized him until he revealed who he was.
So He kinda looked like himself, except with a new body that was somehow changed, better, and capable of appearing randomly, going through walls, and ascending to heaven. So if you can imagine that maybe it will help.
As far as age, theologians like to say everyone will be at their "peak age", as it were, because that is what Christ was supposed to be at the time of his death and resurrection, around 33.
Try imaging everyone with a new body that is definitely different but somehow still themselves, enough that you will recognize them as the perfect person they were intended to be at the beginning of time. Of course we can't readily imagine this, but we shouldn't place restrictions on heaven because of our limited experience in our lives so far.
And be careful when you use the word "perfect", its only a vague adjective that usually carries very little meaning for people. It generally just causes confusion because everyone uses the word and means something different by it. Its better to consider heaven as the place where all is as it was meant to be, not as faulty broken people like you or I want it to be.

They say your spiritual soul age is 30, Im not sure if this is true. As a spirit I believe you may see your relatives as older if thats the image which you find more comforting. Thing is it is only in this life that you knew your Gran at that age, so before you were even born you may have seen her spirit in a different way. I think with heaven and spiritual matters you have to think beyond and appreciate the fact we are in human bodies and are limited to human thinking. This life is not everything which has exited in our journey (in fact it probably makes up a very small amount of it) so therefore we will have more knowledge and understanding when we go back to where we came from.

HI In the spirit world we appear to each other as we would recognise each other, but this is not for long, as the spirit has no body, you would see your gran as you would want to see her, this is because it will help you settle in, in the spirit world. In the spirit world there is no time, no age as we have here, any problems you had here on earth with loved ones would pass, and you would have happy memories, yes some bad ones do go with us, but want really is a bad memory do we really know, or was it just some silly thing that we had to deal with so we could learn by it.
If you are bad in this life its for a reason, and when you pass over you have to show that you have learnt, but sometimes it not so easy, this is why we have troubled spirits, some are up set at being taken and want to stay here, much of what you do, and how it will be when you see your loved ones will be down to you, if you Love, then you will be loved as much.
Love & Peace

Plus the fact that people from the various religions don't picture Heaven in the same way either... would be funny if we all ended together and have to behave properly LOL
My personal opinion is that if something of us still "lives" after our physical death, we may find ourselves in a sort of universe where we make our deepest wishes and beliefs true, so what your question makes me think of is the famous quote from Alice in Wonderland "If we are dreaming, then are you in my dream or am I in yours?"
Perhaps there is a Heaven for the people who have a good heart where their loved ones appear to them as they wish to see them... Likewise, ther may be a Hell for people eaten by guilt and other negative emotions. The Vikings believed in an eternal huge Party with all you can eat and drink and have a good punch up. There is a theory that says that everybody in Heaven returns to their optimal physical appearance, a timeless flawless youth.
Well, nice thoughts to have, Heaven, anyway.

I don't think that anyone knows the answers to those questions for sure. I believe that when we get to heaven, we don't even think about things like that - I once heard that we don't even have a physical form the way that we do down here on earth. However, no one knows for sure. I highly doubt, however, that physical forms will be relevant. I believe that when we go to heaven, perfection for us will be being able to worship God and His goodness continually.

Wake up. Heaven is more than an illusion, it's a fairy tale. No, it's not a fairy tale either - it was a concept that was invented by the church to prey on peoples' fear of dying. The deal was that if you conformed to the rules of the church - and therefore made them more powerful (and corrupt) - then you would be rewarded with an eternal life of joy and happiness. Almost as far fetched as the Islamic four and twenty virgins.

Note: no afterlife until the resurrection and paraside will descend to the New Earth. Death and the grave would have already been cast into the fire of God and all the lost would have been annihilated.
1. Build your own home and plant your own garden (Isaiah 65:21, 22)
2. Have a city mansion built by Christ (John 14:1-3.)
3. Sing and play heavenly music (Isaiah 35:10; 51:11; Psalm 87:7; Revelation 14:2, 3).
4. Worship before God's throne every Sabbath (Isaiah 66:22, 23).
5. Enjoy never-fading flowers and trees (Ezekiel 47:12; Isaiah 35:1, 2).
6. Meeting loved ones, patriarchs, prophets, angels etc. (Matthew 8:11; Revelation 7:9-17).
7. Study the animals of heaven (Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:25).
8. Fly and explore wonders of the universe without getting tired (Isaiah 40:31).
9. Listen to God sing (Zephaniah 3:17).
10. Realize fondest ambitions (Psalm 37:3, 4; Isaiah 65:24).
11. Being with Jesus (Revelation 14:4; 22:4; 21:3; 1 John 3:2).

I once got told by a christian that in heaven you dont recognise people from your former life - ie the one you're living just now.
So maybe everyone will be the age they felt best of happiest at and you won't know who they are anyway?

Heaven is absolutely perfect! I know everyone who goes to heaven recognizes each other. As far as age I'm not completely sure but I've heard from others everyone there is going to be around 30. I don't know if it's true but I'm sure glad I'll find out one day!!

I believe the latter- that our EARTHLY physical forms are no longer relevant. What we have are our glorified heavenly body made whole and perfect. I think if you saw your grandma you would be looking at her spirit and love the awesome being she is. You may appreciate your gran @ 80 but chances are if you would have met her in her glorified and perfect heavenly body you would love what she has become even more. If you love someone you are happy to see them in the healthiest and happiest way that they could ever be. It will be awesome. Can't wait to see you there.
