In a loud voice, say my bum is itchy and then give it scratch, people will turn away

Several strategies depending on what I can get away with:
Rub up against a wall, preferably a corner or lamppost, or sit and wiggle slightly on the corner of a table or counter...
or run to a public loo and hope for a stall.
If all else fails turn my back away from everyone I possibly can and have a good fingernail to ar*se scratch.
The last is the most satisfying.

Never ever scratch ones bottom down stairs part in public as it's just not done. One must wait for an opportunity to go to the rest room and scratch it surreptitiously. Unless of course you are really talking about a relative of a donkey. If so, in this case I would employ a special donkey scratching person to satisfy the poor creatures itch.

I had this problem yesterday. well actually it wasn't an itch, it was a wedgie. but i think that works for this question too. anyway. i decided to venture into a shop, wandered about pensively as if i were actually looking at the clothes and then when i was behind a giant rack of skirts i went for it. pulled those pants right out of my crack. what a relief.
i don't think anybody saw. except perhaps the security guards on their cctv but i don't care about them.
sometimes a subtle lunge will do the trick as well. just work it into your stride.

depends on where on th A.ss you have the itch. If its like right on the O-ring, I would definately go to a bathroom. if its just on a cheeck then you can do a quick rub or scratch

Using a little discretion, scratch it......and hope that takes care of the problem. If it doesn't possibly a good shower and some soap will cure what ails you.

Try to scratch it discretely, otherwise run for the nearest hiding area, like behind a clothes rack....

Let loose on that itch! Don't hold back, just scratch the hell out of it.

Get someone to spot you and start scratchin' away. If your alone; find something to hide behind and handle your business. If there's nothing to hide behind, lean against a wall or something. If there's nothing to lean against, then pretend like your looking for something in your back pocket. If you don't have any back pockets, then hell... just go for it!!!
