Nostradamus wrote conspiracy theories for secret brotherhoods based on the older prophecies that were known at his time. Most of them had been stolen from the library of Alexandria in Egypt just before the library was burned. Some antagonists contend Nostradamus was a spy for the French Illuminati, and his prophecies were an outline of a grand plan for world society designed by secret brotherhoods. As astrologer and advisor for the Queen of France, Catherine de’Medici, Nostradamus was in a key position to deeply influence the international state of affairs. He could have been privy to the secrets of the adepts who desired to influence political decisions. Nostradamus is known as the prophet of the doom and catastrophy. He mentioned only important events that will happen in the future without giving solutions of how to avoid them, unlike older prophecies from religious people that gave hope to humanity. Also a quick search in his geneology may explain to you what he may have been. The final conclusion belongs to you.

Some scholars believe that Nostradamus wrote not to be a prophet, but to comment on events that were happening in his own time, writing in his elusive way — using highly metaphorical and cryptic language - to avoid persecution. This is similar to the Preterist interpretation of the Book of Revelation

What precise and true predictions? Anyone who dreams up several thousand predictions is statistically certain to get a few right.

Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1Jo 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Jer 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

The same way I feel about the daily horoscope in the newspaper. I ignore it, and I ignore him.

And there is nothing true or precise about any of his so-called "predictions" They were general, vague and subject to many and varied interpretations.

Not all of his predictions came true, and many of them were not very precise at all.
I think he was a kook.
I have his entire collection of "prophesies," and I've read them all.

Not even one prediction has been proved to be true.

Fundie Xian here.

His predictions were vague and written in code. He also stared into a black mirror to see his "visions." Sounds demonic to me.

Ask yourself this question, what good came of his writings?
