The truth is the same. Opinions are like noses, we all have one.
You need faith to believe God is real, and you need faith to believe God is not real.
When we Christians say that we have found the truth, we mean a person, Jesus. The Bible says Jesus is the truth and the way and the life, and no one will enter to the Father's house except through Jesus.
So we do not say that our faith is the truth, it is more like we have faith that Jesus is our truth, because God's Word tells us so. And with God's standard of the truth, we are not left with human opinions about it. : )

Within the context of religion, the words truth and faith have nearly the same meaning. It is important to understand, when speaking to a Christian, if they use the word truth, that they really mean the word faith. They do not mean truth, in the sense that we normally think of truth. Rather, they just mean that they have faith.

Our faith is BASED on truth. We trust in the finished work of Christ's sacrifice on the cross for our salvation.

Faith is the way to TRUTH...
Case and point: Gen.1:1

Your question is flawed. Believers of all religions, not just Christians, think that what they believe is the truth.
How can it be otherwise ? What sense would it be if people thought that what their religion teaches is just a lot of bull ?

You are misinformed. Faith is a belief, a trust, a confidence , not backed by proof or evidence.

Because to us it is not an opinion...it is the truth.
That is the essence of faith.
Does not only apply to Christians though, and does not only apply to religion.

why you ask? would you like to know?
when you ask, be very very specific!
and when you're asking, be prepared to understand the truth from the answers. and when you understood, don't twist them for your own benefit. because if you do, only god can forgive you. get that?
