Rescue a dog - there are soooo many staffies in dogs homes that have been mistreated and just need a loving home.
May well not be a puppy, but they will always have dogs less than a year old.

If you really need a puppy, dont scrimp.
Pay the price for a dog from a reputable breeder - or it may be from a puppy farm which are barbaric. If you really are a dog lover then dont buy from a puppy farm!

Registered puppies are sometimes (not always) a little bit more expensive than un-registered - but for that extra money you should get a puppy that's been bred by a reputable breeder both for temperment & looks. Plus, if its registered with the Kennel Club you also get free insurance & a few other guarantees ... have a look here & also why not check out the puppy sales register?

There are more registered puppies on this site:

Otherwise, you could try the ePupz site or Pets4Homes ... they're searchable by area & you generally get to see the price of the puppy before you make any enquiries. There's a generally a mixture of registered, unregistered & cross breeds. (On ePupz you have to register to get the contact information - free for ads older than five days but a one-off £4.99 for all current ads)

(gosh the price really does vary!)

Good luck

Cheap usually mean no papers so you cant guarantee want you are getting until its grown up so you are taking a bit of gamble however i am sure you can judge yourself whether the people you are buying it off are decent or not, if i was you I would look in shop notice boards or pet shop notice boards I don't know if you have a pets at home near you but they advertise pets in there, also look through local papers and loot magazine have loads in there too, in fact I got my staffordshire bull out off there he was £350 with papers.

Go to the RSPCA-they often have puppy's and young dogs in as well as adults.

Don't buy a cheap 1 for sale in a local ad paper or advertised in a shop window.Most of them are bred by idiot chav's who breed for aggression.

Before you should consider a puppy think about how much time you have to train and socialize it. It's much easier to adopt an older dog from your local shelter that has already learned the basics. http://www.petfinder.com/ is a great way to check what dogs are available at the shelters around you. Good luck:)

A cheap staffy puppy will not be a good bargain. The chances are it would have been poorly bred and raised and could cost you considerably in vets fees. Cheap is usually a false economy.

well if you are going to get a pure breed am-staff for cheap there is probably some thing wrong with it......... they don't come cheap if it's pure. I'd say try a local shelter or pound ......
good luck on your search for your new pup =^ }
