Hmmm - Depends on why you split - something are not meant to be.. Just be careful that its not just plan "B".. Love is special - it 'll hurt even more if you get back together for the wrong reasons - But If you do both love each other & you split for silly reasons - go for it.. 5 years is a long time..

it's easy to fall back into an old routine. Step back, take some time out and evaluate the situation, does he really want you back or does he feel guilty?
If he loves you let him do some chasing/making things up for breaking your heart, (this would be his way of hinting he wants you back)

I am passing through that too... we men find difficult to approach women with a opened --I am sorry i miss you so much it was a big mistake to get away from you---, so , if you care about the man , give him a chance to talk look at him in the eye , tell him how bad you were hurt, ask him what he thinks about that , and if he asks for a chance ask him what he wants to do to repair(""") the damage , and to avoid that to hapen again, dont talk about the past, deal with reality ,remember love shouldnt be blind.............................

What kind of talking. Friendly supportive talking or intimate "relationship" talking?
He may feel guilty for breaking your heart. If so then it's pity.
Think about the kind of relationship you two have right now. Does he honestly seem to want you back?
Why don't you ask him?

Sometimes you have to ask someone straight up how they actually
feel about you, and then give them the space they need to come back...
If they do not then move on....it is really not good to hold onto someone
or the dream that someone you care about is going to want you again,
unless you can really read him like a book, phone him up ask him.......
If he does not want to come back he will tell you, it is better to hear it
straight up, then to go back and discover later on that you have repeated
the mistake and taken someone back who is not fully committed to you
or your relationship.....

It depends on how long he hasn't spoken to you for and how long since he's been your ex!
Ask him other wise you may be reading more into it then what is actually the case.

note it took you telling him you love him to get him talking to you.....if he wants you back, leave it a litle bit. show some interest, but dont makie it obvious you want him back. eventually he'll make a big gesture to show he wants you back, then you know its for real
