I think you are asking what it is and not the cereal. A lucky charm is anything that you consider to give you luck.

An object is called a lucky charm because it is supposed to bring you "Good Luck." It differs in every person. I may consider my "key" a lucky charm; however, I personally believe that "being lucky" is all in the mind. If you think you are lucky , then you are.

Lucky charms, also known as as talismans, are objects, usually small enough to be carried with someone, that are supposed to bring luck. It could be anything from a feather to a shell or coin or jewel, to a religious piece such as a cross. They have been used with great faith and superstion, and also just for fun. I put no faith in objects, but instead look to the Power behind all miraculous happenings, God Himself. However, even in the Bible, people were healed merely by touching a cloth which had touched Paul's body.
