Use the pills, condoms, and a spermicidal jelly.
Why take chances with a lifetime commitment you don't want yet. With all methods have some failure rates, it pays in mental relief to do all three. And don't even talk to me about ruining the mood until you wake up at three in the morning to take care of the results of your wonderful mood nine months before.

You can definitly have side effects. You can have side effects with any hormone drugs that you take in. I would talk to a doctor in order to get the information that you need because there is too much for me to write here. I would say that condoms are always a good idea (atleast until you are with someone who you have been tested for STDs with). The pill doesn't stop the person who you are with from giving you a std so even if you do start to use the pill, make sure that he uses a condom. You may not even want to tell him that you are on the pill because then he will start trying to pressure you into letting him not wear a condom because you "won't get pregnant anyway."

When taken correctly, the pill can be 99.9 percent effective against pregnancy. However, the pill does NOT protect against STD's. So if you are not in a committed relationship I say use the pill and the condoms to protect yourself. No, you don't have to take the pill for the rest of your life. When you are ready for kids you just stop taking them. Also, if you have a hard time remembering when to take them there other birth control options such as the shot and the ring. Go to your doctor and speak with him or her about what options are best for you.

No method is 100% but the pill and condoms are not an unwise combination. Don't stop using the condoms just because you start the pill, they have more benefits than birth control as I'm sure you know. No you dont have to continue taking them for the rest of your life. Just stop taking them a few months before you intend to try and start a family..

Thats all up to you and do you want to be 100% safe. when I got on the pill I gained 12 pds and I got off it. 2 months later I was pregant. I am now 20y/o with a wonderful 2 year old son. In my case I am happy but in order to be positive you would have to get on the pill. Do u have sex all the time? if yes then the pill is for you. If its occasionaly then I think condoms will work just fine.

Hi I would say use the pill. Condoms can come off if both of you are really moving a lot when having sex. Even when you change positions it can come off. Mind you some men come quick so it does not matter. If he is long lasting then look out.
Leakage could happen and then we might have to call you Mommy

Try the Depo shot if you don't want the pill. You get a shot once every three months, and it takes 2 weeks to get into your system the first time. Say you get the shot today, Two weeks from today, it would be fully in your system, and prevent pregnancy. Then, on June 9th, you'd get another shot, and be covered for another three months.
Bonus: It actually stops your period! Score!!
