MMA, unlike most martial arts training, needs to be done more like a cardio sport. I'd approach it as a mix of boxing style training and football(US) style training. I'd start with some jogging and sprinting, up-downs, frog-hops, deep squats, inverted pushups, inclined sit-ups, speed ball work, heavy bag work, high knees, and of course work in your chosen martial arts.
When you've gotten good at these increase the reps and add some weights. Use high weight at low reps focusing especially on the triceps and shoulders. Some time on an exercycle or real bicycle wont hurt either.

Try Complexes
little test to try when it comes to weights is a Complex which is where you take a barbell and do a certain amount of exercises in a row without putting the weights down
The rep breakdown would be as follows with 1 minute breaks in between the sets
8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 of each exercise
complex examples
EASY
Front Squat
military press
back squat
MEDIUM
stiff leg deadlift
sumo deadlift
power clean
military press
good morning
HARD
stiff leg deadlift
sumo deadlift
power clean
front squat
military press
back squat
good morning
lunge
Puke
another thing to look up would be Westside training....done by Dave Tate
its strongman training
which is more what you should be interested in than your traditional bodybuilding type workouts
another good trainer to look up is Chad Waterbury...he specializes in training mixed martial artists and designing workouts for them
Good goals for a MMA fighter should be
4 times a bodyweight deadlift
4 times a bodyweight Squat
2.5 times a bodyweight benchpress(this should be secondary to the other two as they both take in more muscles)
10, one armed chin ups....wherre your second hand hangs free not holding your first arm
Cardio wise, you should be able to run 2 miles in 12 minutes...if you can't try running sprints on the treadmill...where you jog for 3 minutes then run as hard as you can for 1......for 20-40 minutes total
and NO these are not unrealistic numbers

I did not get your question. You want work outs to get into MMA or you just love MMA and want to excercise. Clear this up for me first. If you want to get into MMA I suggest you find yourself a good training camp.

Lot of good suggestions... I'll add a fun one. Get a punching bag, play your favorite music. Don't stop punching till the music is over. Remember to throw combinations, different strikes (kicks, knees, elbows - unless that competition doesn't allow those, variety of punches, etc). As you get better put together a few songs and keep going... This works for a grappling dumbing too, throw it around, different holds, get crazy.
Others: Jump rope (variety of methods), go to a track, sprint 100 meters, jog (fast) 100 meters and repeat, repeat.
Best of luck.

hmmmm... Well if i were you i would but a exercise ball, there pretty good for all round... It really depends if you are wanting to lose weight or put on muscle, or get cut, or wat? A bench press is abit costly, but some dumbells are always a good choice, not 2 expensive. There are always plenty of good exercises on the net, just need to look for them. But the most important thing is to stay motivated!
