it totally depends on how much of a standing it has for your degree and how well you have done in the rest of your course. however the course i sat wouldnt give you honours unless you passed the dissertation! if you have already handed it in dont worry bout it too much if not get your finger out!!! You could only fail should you not submit one. Scores of individuals that get to that point and quit. You are already winning so give it your own flavor. As for the honors, your attainment so far contributes heavily toward the honors recognition, its not likely that this one last ingrediant takes away from all you have achieved. Unless this was a curriculum that henged entirely on the dissertation you should be fine. Good luck and Congratulations!!
