It's fine a lot of females do that. WHY? I don't know. Maybe it's just something to do to pass time.

It is a condition called trichotillomania and if you google it, you will be able to find all kinds of websites on it. I have the same thing and am taking celexa and wellbutrin for anxiety and the wellbutrin seems to help for the hair pulling, although at times I have greater urges to pull as opposed to other times. Hope this helps. Even though it's embarressing to talk about, you should discuss this with you Dr. Good luck.

I think that if you are pulling your hair out its probally because of some sort of stress. I think the best thing to do is see a doctor about it. I dont think that it is healthy to sit down and pull your hair out. Try to find something to do instead of pullin out your hair like exercising or drawing.

This one episode of the Tyra Show did a thing on OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and one of the guests who had OCD did this thing where she pulled almost all of the hair out of her head. But for you it could just be a bad habit, like bitting nails.
