It's not that there aren't any more; there are many old scripture that are not included in the canon of the Bible. Too, there are many different collections of books contained in the various Bibles. The shortest is the Samaritan Bible which contains only five books, and the largest is the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible which contains 81 books.

As far as books after the Revelation, it's difficult to imagine anything coming after what is essentially the end of the world as we know it, which is what the Revelation is about.

Lets reason this out. Who was the last living apostle? -It was John the beloved. When did he die? -95A.D. When was Revelations written and by whom? -John, 95 A.D.

Every New Testament book was written by an apostle or someone who saw the resurrected Christ Jesus. There is only one possible exception, being Paul's servant Dr. Luke, who wrote Luke and Acts.

Your answer- Revelations was the last book written that was part of the Bible because the person who wrote it was the last person alive who could have written a canonical book.

Research 'canon' . See the requirements for a book to be canonical.

The criteria for books to be in our bibles was met and the others were deleted a great many years ago.
They remain in print and can be bought at many book stores, but they are not of a holy nature and don't belong in the bible.
Anyone can see that they aren't of Divine origin, that is why God had them removed.

Dramatic effect. The Church decided that the best way to end the Bible was to use the book that is supposed to get people thinking about the future. Which is fair enough, I suppose. That's quite standard in literary works.

From a Christian standpoint:

With Revelation, the end of human history is revealed, so there is nothing left to be said after Revelation. The Bible is God's Word for us... He tells us what we need to know for our earthly lives within it.

Sure, there's more information in existence, but Revelation is the final thing that God decided to get across to us in His written Word.

God bless.

Because the Book of Revelation is a love letter to the Bride of Christ. & it speaks of the final outcome into the eternal age. That is why many can not understand it, It is for the Bride only to see & understand, In my 37 yrs as a Christian, I find it very easy to understand.
