Salvation is down to trust; if you trust that God has saved you and believe in him then you have nothing to worry about. Remember although we may give up on God and think maybe we've lost our salvation he doesn't give up on us and welcomes anyone who turns to him to be saved.

Assurance of salvation comes from God with salvation, because salvation is when you trust in God for forgiveness, this is where assurance comes from, the fact that we trust in God, he cannot lie so there is no one more dependable. Assurance for me came from the fact that i knew Jesus had done it all long ago, so there is nothing for me to worry about. I know this verse has helped for other people also "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Roms 6 vs1

Salvation as per hindu or christain understanding, that ultimate goal to rest in in peace after this life has no bearing at all;as human beings are being prepared for endless pursuit of seeking pleasures of bounties of God which are endless. When someone is not on the path and wandering without path, he is restless. But once the path is defined one is confident and at peace;as such may be taken as salvation from the risk of being led astray.

Assurance comes from God. You cannot lose salvation, unless one was never saved in the first place. Then they never had salvation to lose.

I frequently feel condemned because my performance is poor. But reading Galatians really helps me, Paul says that salvation comes from Jesus not performance, he says it many times in the same letter. I think my brain doesn't register the idea well, and every time I read Galatians it gets the idea again, and I feel more at peace.

Trust the word of God which says all who call on the name of Jesus will be saved, if you have ever truly given your life to Him, you cannot be lost. You may backslide but there is always repentence, to get on track again.
