NO on the smoking but ask your doctor about the alcohol in medicinal amounts. (daily glass of wine, etc)

Sheesh, I just quit smoking after 2 years of trying because I was getting pinched pains in my heart, and feeling dizzy. Alcohol is just bad for you, the heart least of all, raises blood pressure I hear. I wouldn't drink if I were you on GP, and smoking, with your heart condition would kill you in about 2.5 years, Quitting took me 2 years too.

Why? Is it worth finding out? You've been given a second chance at life so if you don't mind me saying, throw the smokes and booze out the window.

Did you do the repair yourself? Oh, you had a Dr., maybe a surgeon, any reason you don't ask them? Might give better advice than a web surfer.

Smoking closes up your arteries, so it would put you at a higher risk, ask you doctor about drinking in moderation.

You can do anything you want with or without heart problems . The question is how soon before it does you in for good . Not long, trust me .
