Also explain why, if Jesus is revered as a prophet, Muslems ignore Jesus' edict when he sent his disciples out to spread the gospel, and told them, paraphrased, "If the people in the village don't accespt what you say, leave and shake the dust from your feet." That is opposite Islam which calls for the killing of anyone who doesn't adhere to that faith.

You aren't getting the point of my question which is "How can Islam revere Jesus and go against his teachings?"

You are still not understanding the question! One answer given was that the teachings of Jesus was corrupted, if that is the case, why revere his teachings at all. Wake up out there and answer the question without interjecting excuses!

You are mistaken, The ethic of Islam is not to kill anyone whom doesn't convert to Islam. The Quran says there is no complusion in Religion. It teaches tolerance and tells the believers not to force people and not to fight those who do not fight you. Infact, in Islam, a man can marry a Jewish and or Christian women. Morover, Muslims believe as taught by the Quran, that some Christians, Jews, and other people who don't call themselves Muslims will be granted Paridise.

Judgement of the faithful is only in God's hand, and as the Quran teaches, only God knows what is in one's heart and it advises believers not to poke fun at others who are different because the last may be better then the first.

Murder is forbidden and there is only to Things that Killing is permitted: When in war against an combantant or as capital punishment. And even in capital punishment, the family of teh victum can pardon for great blessing of God.

I pray this clears up the misinformation being broadcast through many media outlets to lessen guilt about the war in Iraq and Afghanstan.

Peace Be upon you :) Artist

Unity of All Submitters

[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

Attributes of the Righteous

[3:133] You should eagerly race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise whose width encompasses the heavens and the earth; it awaits the righteous,

[3:134] who give to charity during the good times, as well as the bad times. They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. GOD loves the charitable.

[3:135] If they fall in sin or wrong their souls, they remember GOD and ask forgiveness for their sins - and who forgives the sins except GOD - and they do not persist in sins, knowingly.

[3:136] Their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens with flowing streams; they abide therein forever. What a blessed reward for the workers!

Take care of and love your parents, respect your elders, seek knowledge, give greetings to people, seek patience in all matters of life, do not drink or do any mind altering substance or anything that will harm your body, have sex only with those you are married to- so that your offspring will have a mother and a father, and will be taken care of. Give charity, take care of the poor in your neighborhood. But above all- live your life in such a way to please God, and worship God only. We fast to appreciate what God has given to us, we have a set time to pray five times daily, keeping us in touch with our Creator. Islam is a complete way of life, and the ethics are many.

first off jesus is revered as a prophet but we as muslims believe that his teachings were eventually courrupted somewhat or changed slightly and secondly muslims arent allowed to kill anyone who doesnt adhere to their religion thats absoulutly ludacris. the only time a muslim is allowed to kill is out of self defence or if he sees in justice and it is ALWAYS a last resort

It's real simple, you either are a Muslim, or you are in the process of becoming a Muslim. Everyone is a Muslim, they just don't know it yet, and it is the job of devote Muslims to make them understand this. Some will refuse to understand that they are Muslims, when they refuse the path of Allah, it is the job of all good Muslims to martyr the infidels. Martyrdom is a gift Muslims bring to infidels, similar to the salvation Christians offer, only it is forced, not by choice. Ethical, in the strictest sense of the word yes. Accurate, yes.
Moral... not in my world.
