I know a little girl who had her adenoids removed last year, she was 5 or 6 at the time. She recovered pretty quickly, she just didn't do her dance and other activities for about 2 weeks after the surgery because even though she felt pretty good, she still didn't need to be jumping and running around too much.

My son didnt have any problems with either one he was about 5 I think when he got his done. But afterwards he had to have his tonsils out about 2 years later it made me mad that they didnt do this at the same time they did the adenoids. But hes fine now and has outgrown all of his stuff except a few allergies at times. Hardly any recovery time for this the tonsils are what are hedouble l

I had my adenoids removed due to have a lot of ear and tonsils infections. All recall is that once they doctor removed my adenoids is that I can breath a lot better. Your daughter the first few days will feel extremely congested until she heals and her throat will feel extremely sore. By lots of jello, pop-cilis and ice packs, so that you can place it on her nose it feels really good & childern's motrin for the pain. Good Luck.
