Yes, absolutely. It could be something as simple as a cold or your period throwing off your sugars, or it could be a sign of something really serious. My highest sugar was over 500, and I couldn't even see straight then! Please get yourself checked out!

Yes you should go to the doctor and let them know what you have been going through. I really think that you need to eat on a regular schedule. These things that are happening to you are things that I had been experiencing for a long while. I would not eat on a regular schedule and this often give me low readings from not eating and the I would eat alot to have my sugars catch up aND then sometime get a high reading after that. You really need to stay on a regular eating schedule and test your blood during this process. While on a regular eating schedule while checking your blood you will learn what to do and how your body reacts when you eat certain foods and eat too much of a portion and what happens when you don't eat enough. You really need to say on schedule and eat regular portions.
I have learned that I cannot eat three meals a day and keep regular blood sugars. I have to eat at least every two to three hours and take four Humilog 7 unit shots with each meal and in the evening I need to give myself 25 units of lantus each night. Since I have always eaten more that three times a day it was too hard to change so i have to regulate my insulin intake with my eating habits. It works, just keep a schedule of eating and shots.
If you take a pill then it is a little bit harder. Also taking a 30/70 type insulin once a day is a bill harder too. Ask you doctor.

Yes, your sugars are not under control. I bet you thought you were hypoglycemic only, which are low blood sugars. When your sugars start going up & down it's a sign for medical intervention. I know this for a fact I am a type 2 diabetic and thats happen to me before it could be sign your meds or your diet needs to be changed. That's if you take meds. My concern is that your sugar reached 310. You can have protien in your urine & that's a HUGE sign of kidney damage. And if your sugars keep going up & down you can go into diabetic ketosis, which is very dangerous. These are some questions that you need ask yourself & let your doctor know.
1. Am I urinating alot?
2. Am I losing a lot of wieght extremely fast?
3. Is my vision blurry at times?
4. Is my blood pressure high (this a sign of the migranes)?
5. Once blood work is done ask the doctor how are your A1C's are doing, 4 normal 10 dangerous.
6. Have your cholestrol checked it's a factor in diabetes.
People believe that ones diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure doesn't have anything to due with your diabetes. They're wrong. Your diabetes, cholestrol & blood pressure are known in the medical field as the bermuda triangle; ask your doctor & he/she can exaplain the details.
When you visit your doctor ask him/her to refer you to obtain diabetic education class. This can really help you understand the illness. Do not procrastinate see your doc ASAP. Good Luck.

Yes!
Your diabete is unregulated.
You can easily go into a coma with High OR Low Sugar Levels. The kidneys will began to over react and this is not great for your kidneys. The diabetes is effecting your eyesight ,lungs, heart, and headaches .I would go on to the Emergency Room if I needed to before your doctors appointment.I am very surprised you could even write your post with this going on in your body. I usually have blurred vision, weakness, sick to my stomach along with confusion.
Wish You Luck!

YES! Diabetes is nothing to play around with! Do you have a family history of diabetes? Are these the 1st times you have had sugar problems? Talk to your parents ... they will make sure you get the care you need!
Hope this helps,
Jennifer
