One small (such as the size of an organic) banana or 1/2 of a "regular" size banana has 15 grams of carbs. As long as the diabetic counts this in their meal allowance of carbs there should be no reason not to have it.
Fruit is a "good" carb and is often preferred to say a snack bar because of all the other great things it has to offer such as potassium and in the case of organics, no chemicals.

It is OK for diabetics to eat a banana, but bananas are very starchy fruits. A small banana has about 25 g of carbohydrates. Make sure you adjust your diet/ exercise/ insulin to accommodate for those carbohydrates.

1/2 of a med. banana is 15 grams of carbs or 1 carb serving. Diabetics can eat anything as long as they count it and don't go over their carb limit which for most diabetes is around 90 carbs.

My doctor says yes, but only a small banana that is not too ripe. They are high in carbs and there are other fruits I prefer, so I don't have them often.

Yes! Bananas have natural sugar in them. The only way I think the bananas, would bother you is if you had an allergy to them.
