You really need to see a doctor and get some antiviral medication such as famciclovir (Famvir), valaciclovir (Valtrex), or acyclovir. "Home remedies" are not recommended.
The only thing you should really be taking that is over the counter is maybe some acetaminophen (Tylenol) or some ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil). This can help with the pain caused by herpes sores.
