I blew a whistle in gym class today that was used by other people. The whistle was dry though, is there any way I can get herpes from this? and If there is when will I see symptoms?

The herpes virus is NOT a bacteria, but yes, it dries quickly.

"HSV dies quickly with drying at room temperature, spread from objects like bath towels (fomites) is unusual"

So it seems it's unusual, but not unheard of. I just have a policy of not putting anything in my mouth that was in someone else's mouth. Seems to have worked out pretty well over the years.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentsherpes2o156Vbb

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

No you can't get herpes that way. The virus likes warm wet surfaces to live in. If the whistle was not used for one hour chances are, if the virus was there, it died.

its possible if the whistle has been used ny someone with oral herpes, the virus that causes it can stay dry for some time and still infect.
