Well since everyone on here knows smoking is bad for you, what they don't know is sometimes it is hard to quit. Smoking in a closed room is going to give you the same amount of nicotine. It has been debated that second hand is worse than you smoking yourself because there isn't a filter, that is not so true. Your lungs act as a filter so when you exhale alot of the harmful chemicals in cigarettes are trapped in your lungs. My advice is to try not to smoke in a closed room, not only will you make the room smell of cigarettes but also your hair and clothes. They have a positive changes hypnosis in this area and it has worked well for many people to quit, but if you don't want to quit thats your business and I won't judge you for it. Kicking the habit is the best option, but I believe that if you are the smoker then smoking in a closed room will not make a difference.

It's possible your parents won't notice the cigarette smell if you smoke half the cigarette. That might be enough to fill the nicotine urge. Also, use scented candles if you have it. Spray yourself with some perfume. That does dissuade the cigarette odor. Hereafter, buy incense and start using it regularly. Let them get used to the incense smell and you can cheat the cigarette smoking in your room more often. I gave up cigarettes years ago when I couldn't stop coughing at night. It was definitely the hardest habit I ever gave up. Good luck!

It seems to me that the smoke from the cigarette has more in the way of carcinogens and toxins in it; however, the exhaled smoke will have more carbon dioxide in it (from the smoker's lungs), so I'd call it a draw. Personally, I wouldn't care to be around either one.

The smoke you inhale or the second hand smoke has a lot of unwanted materials in it, Your exhale is a tad better because some of the bad stuff has been deposited in your lungs

Both are bad for you, but there is a study that tends to lean towards the second hand smoke floating being worse.

Its all bad, but to a non smoker its the worst, even breathing on someone after you have a smoke makes some people nauseous.

it's been proven, second hand smoke is worse. you don't need to be in a closed room, even in the open it's still worse.
