were yum,. and I am not even in bed yet, as I will be going to sleep soon, and my heart rate was 50 beats per minute. As soon as I go to bed it will drop to around 46-47 beats per minute. I have had it as low as 44 as I was super fit running 90 minutes and doing track work as I used to be a runner. So what is normal reasitn pulse rate. I know everybody is different as what is normal for me may not be normal for anyone else.

Too low of a heart rate can be an indication of a heart or circulatory problem, however if you are a runner and in great shape you should be okay with the mid fifties at the lowest when resting.

From my experience anything from 50 - 75 is pretty much normal at rest. I would consult a doctor or cardiologist to be sure with your situation.

The normal range for a person is 60-100 beats per minute. Since you used to be a runner that is good that it beats slow when you are resting. (It means you have a healthy, strong heart).
