Herpes is not deadly! There is no cure for it, but it is certainly not deadly!

The only time it is deadly is if an infant is born with it. If a baby contracts the virus during birth there is a 25% chance it will be fatal.

A person does not die from contracting genital herpes. You may live a very long time with that. You need medical treatment to control it, as there is no cure.

Herpes is non-fatal. Although the disease cannot be cured, the symptoms can be treated and it often goes into remission and disappears for years, if not forever. It will not kill you -- it is just a coldsore on your genitals.
