Yep another vote for pleurisy. It hurts like hell and to me it actually hurt worse than childbirth. Most likely because there was nothing I could do to easy the pain besides stop breathing...which at one point seemed like a promising alternative! :) That and it lasted for days!Pleurisy is where the linings of your lungs (called the pluera) looses the fluid between the 2 which looses lubrication and so everytime you breath those 2 linings rub together and it is literally like sandpaper.
Anyway the thing I wanted to point out is its usually caused by something such as pneumonia and or other things. What I wanted to point out is there is also a plueral effusion which there is an excess of fluid which causes similar effects. The thing that strikes me different from what your explaining and my dealing with pluerisy is your saying that it hurts to breathe deeply yet when I had pleurisy I hurt when ever I took a breath (short breath... long breath it all hurt like hell). Also you didnt mention feeling sick prior to this so I am not sure. SO I am pointing out the plueral effusion because it could be that which could be an indication of something else entirely such as congestive heart failure.
I am not trying to scare you or anything just trying to emphasize you really need to get to a doctor. It could be something as simple as a pulled muscle between the ribs, but be on the safe side and have it checked out.

Sounds like pluerisy - but without a stethescope I couldn't tell you. Go see a doctor armed with the right equiptment to diagnose and treat you (y'know, stethescope, script pad)
Good luck

This might be your problem....

You also might have a collapsed lung. It happens alot in people your age. Spontaneous pneumothorax they call it. It's an emergency, so have your parents take you to the ER as soon as possible.

It's time to get checked by the doctor. Could be pleurisy or something else. Get it fixed before it gets worse.
