NO Condoms do not prevent HPV. HPV is genital warts and can grow in places that the condom does not cover. You should always wear a condom because it will lessen your chances of getting any kind of STD, but it will NOT protect you from HPV infection (those others that are saying yes aren't correct).
Don't get me wrong, it will kind of save you from getting HPV, but this is slim.

Condoms HELP prevent contracting HPV but they are not 100% effective. The only thing that is 100% effective is abstinence.
HPV can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact. So, even if the man is wearing a condom, the condom is only covering his penis and not his whole genital area. Just the rubbing back and forth of the genital area during sex can spread HPV. This is also the same for genital herpes.

Women whose partners use condoms every time they have sex are LESS likely to become infected with HPV, the virus that can cause cervical cancer and genital warts, than women who only occasionally use them. Consistent condom use cut a woman's risk of infection by 70% and protected her from developing precancerous cervical changes. So, no, it's not 100% but it sure lessens the odds.

Sorry to say, but no. HPV only needs skin to skin contact, hence why something like 75% of the sexually active population is affected.

HPV increases dramatically once a female has sex with more than one partner or has sex w/ a man who has had multiple partners.
