A girl and I were talking about "diets," at work today, and she said "I only eat safe foods." I know that Neg Cal foods are like, Veggies.. celery.. Meaning they require more cals to burn etc. then what is actually in them. I just wasn't sure what safe foods were. She is super skinny, so maybe she's pro-ana or something. I just don't understand if Safe is the same thing as neg cal. Which we all know that neg cal should be added to our diet for the vitamins etc.. just a well balanced diet. They are tasty! lol I just didn't know. (sorry the ? wasn't very clear). my apologies.

Please do not believe anything you read or hear about from "pro-ana" or any pro-ed web sites. The information presented on them has no basis other than feeding the desires of the people who visit them.

"Safe" foods, as defined by the eating disordered, as well as normal dieters, are usually anything low in calories and fat. Most often, these lists include perfectly healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables. But, some people will put nutrient-deficient garbage such as diet soda into this category.

My advice is to go by the principle that whatever you put into your body ought to have some benefits for whatever amount of calories it has. Check nutrition labels for amounts of vitamins, fiber, protein, etc., and pay attention to the number of calories from fat, if fat content is a big concern. It is best to have less than 30% of the total calories come from fat (you can also use a rough 1/3 estimate if you don't have a calculator handy). If more than 1/3 of the calories come from fat, and the food doesn't have some significant amount of other nutrients, it probably isn't worth your time.

"Negative Calorie" foods are a myth. The myth is that the total amount of calories in the food are less than how many calories your body uses to digest it.

Most of the foods that fall into this silly category are the same as "safe" foods, in that they are low in calories. Raw fruits and vegetables are on this list too.

What is important to realize is that most of these "safe" or "negative calorie" foods are actually good for you, and should be a regular part of any normal diet.

Negative calorie foods take more calories to eat and digest than they put into your system, so if you are looking for safe and meaning no calorie then yes. Lots of foods can help you have a full feeling without giving you lots of calories. Most things produced by nature are good for you. If it is not processed...it is probably safe.

definitely there isn't a real "unfavorable" calorie food simply by fact all food have energy and none take greater to digest than they incorporate. in spite of if, vegetables and end result do tend to be very low in energy however staring on the fruit relies upon on how authentic it is. specific you would be able to desire to proceed to exist yet your physique might start to lack specific mandatory food in case you probably did not heavily stability your weight loss application.

What? I would say foods with the least preservatives and chemicals, least amount of processing, non-radioactive... you know, safe to consume.
