Did it help? Medications that have expired may not be as effective. Throw it out and get another one.

Asthma is an allergy and is triggered by something. The best non medication treatment for asthma is learning your triggers and avoiding them. Common triggers are smoke, dust, mold, mildew, plants, dust mites, pets and grass/weeds.

If you can not figure our your triggers, you may need to see an allergist and have allergy screening done. This may point out your triggers.

The National Asthma Prevention Program and the Expert Panel of Diagnosis and Management of Asthma both agree if you have to use a prescription inhaler such as albuterol more then two time per week, your asthma is NOT in control and you will need a prescription controller medication.

Controller medications are steroids (Asthmacort Asthmanex, Flovent, Pulmocort), Leukotriene modifier (Singulair, Aculade, Zyflo) or mast cell stabilizers (Cromolyn sodium, Intal, Tilade).

You may want to talk to your doctor about several strong controller medications and maybe Xolair shots.

If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

As I recall, Advair is also only good for 30 days from the time the sealed package is opened. If you just broke the seal, it most likely is OK with the 11/2006 expiration date; if not, toss it.

really the question here is not is the advair ok but what are you doing taking advair from 2006?...advair is NOT a rescue inhaler..it is a preventive inhaler which means you have to use it EVERY day to PREVENT the asthma from occurring..MOST medicines are still good way past their expiration's but there are a few that once open have to be used right away like spiriva..once you open the little sac and take out the capsule you have to use it within an hour..try to learn as much as you can about your medicines and take them as prescribed..not as you want to..good luck

It's probably ok, but when it comes to a condition like asthma, which can get out of control very quickly, you don't want to take chances. You should get a new one that is fresh and as potent as needed.

Chances are it no longer has the full effect as it would have if it had not been expired. This doesn't mean take more however. what you need is a new Rx

As long as you have stored it properly, yes, no problem. Most drugs, if stored properly, can be used long after the expiration date (depending on the medication of course).

Yeah, it should still be okay. It's only been a few months since 11/06.
