Your HIV result is depending on the HIV status of the prostitute you had sex with. If she is negative, then you will be negative without a doubt. However, for you to know, you can't ask her and trust her words. You have to get tested. You can't get tested to know your HIV status if you just had sex with her within 3 months.
HIV antibodies show (appear) in your blood 3-6 months after the possible exposure.If you were negative before this happened and If you just had sex with her and get tested tomorrow or before 3 months is reached, and your test comes back with negative result, this doesn't mean you are HIV negative. Wait until 3 months (called window period) and get tested. If negative, get tested again in 6 months to make sure you are free from HIV.
2-4 weeks after the risk, you may or may not experience the early hiv symptoms. They are flu like symptoms, swollen glands, lymph nodes, itching the whole body etc and mono like symptoms as well. Some who get HIV may not even have early symptoms. Some are so worried even though they are negative and get symptoms which are called hypochodria symptoms. So, for now, do not worry much. Just relax and wait until 3 months to get tested. if negative, you are good to go and get tested in 6 months. Good Luck. Don't do any risky behaviors next time. You never know what kind of STDs you will get even you may not contract HIV from that prostitute. There are whole bunch of STDs including HIV. You should always avoid risky behaviors. Even using condoms aren't 100% safe from STDs and pregnancy. Like there are condom babies, there are condoms HIVs.
