No, your lungs will definitely not freeze. I am severely asthmatic and I live in New Hampshire. This winter we have had a lot of below freezing temperatures. You learn to cover your mouth when you are outside. You know being asthmatic that our lungs can not handle the cold air hitting them without causing us to wheeze. Make sure that you have your fast acting inhaler with you. That way if you do start to wheeze you have something to help get it under control very quickly. There are things that you can do also, if you want to go skiing, sledding, or things like that. Like using Advair a few months before you go. Setting yourself up with your nebulizer before you go. Talking to your doctor and things like that. Make sure you know what to expect. It does not feel good to be out there in the cold, unprepared, and having an asthma attack.

No, your lungs will not freeze. The dry air associated with cold can cause an allergic asthma reaction. So, carry your meds with you and if you can cover your mouth and nose (allowing more moisture to mix with your air intake) that should help.

No, but, if it's extremely cold out you might be affected more quickly than someone who isn't asthmatic.
