I'm looking for information on her Working Student program, and what she's like as an employer. I'm NOT looking for dumbass answers like "of course someone has worked for her." Please, if you can't help me, then don't answer.

Thanks for the luck, but I've had none so far.

Yes, I've been to her website and sent her an e-mail. I'm looking to talk to people who've worked for her.

Yes, I have worked for her. (It has been about 3 years ago, and worked only 1 or 2 days a month) She is tough, but you learn a lot. Be prepared to work fast and effciently. She gives plenty of instruction and has awesome horses to ride. You will work at least an 8 hr day. Plenty of chances to groom at events, lots of young horses. Be ready to pay attention to detail! I have great memories from the times I spent there.

I have heard of Jane Sleeper, but am not familiar with her program- though of course, I'm not surprised to learn that she has one. For those of you who don't know who she is, she is a 3 day event competitor and trainer. The suggestion that you go to her website or look online for information is a good one. You should also check out other related websites from some of her fellow competitors and trainers- those sites may have links in them which will tell you how to reach her. Finally, I would look for information in horse magazines and publications such as the Chronicle of the Horse ( they have a good website as well) and Practical Horseman. They may also have contact information like phone numbers. Good luck !!

Mikki, you are too cool. You made me laugh and that made my day. I'll admit I was going to give you a "dumb *** answer" but out of respect for your frankness now I won't. Jane Sleeper? No, I never heard of her. Good luck to you.

Mikki, Just a thought and you probably did this already - Jane Sleeper is on line. Ask her for names of former employees and see if you can contact them.
