I was taking them for medical reasons, but didn't watch for side effects, and went blind in my right eye. Sure messed up my game!

Wow, what a question. Most of the answers you will receive will just be parroting back from media reports. But it depends on what type you are referring to, how much you use and for how long. It's irresponsible to just make a blanket statement that all steroids will do this or that. However, most will have some side effects if you use them long enough. Not to mention they are insanely expensive and very illegal. Also, there is a huge amount of fake "gear" out there. Put it all together and it will never be worth it. Wouldn't you feel better about yourself if you made true gains through hard work and persistence?

Mood swings, aggressive behaviour, rage, depression, you name it, you can get it. Then you get get shot by the cops for being an idiot and not calming down going nuts and attacking them. That's a pretty big consequence and a danger I reckon.
