There are only a few ways to contract trichomoniasis - not hundreds.
Trichomoniasis is caused by the single-celled protozoan parasite, Trichomonas vaginalis. The vagina is the most common site of infection in women, and the urethra (urine canal) is the most common site of infection in men. The parasite is sexually transmitted through penis-to-vagina intercourse or vulva-to-vulva (the genital area outside the vagina) contact with an infected partner. Women can acquire the disease from infected men or women, but men usually contract it only from infected women.

What matters more than how did you get infected (which is only sexually by the way) is how to get rid of it! Right? Fortunately Trick is one of the curable STIs.
This STI can be treated and cured by a strong drug that kills parasites. You and your sexual partner(s) MUST both be treated at the same time so you do not get reinfected. The drug of choice is a pill called Flagyl or metronidazole - it's generic name. You can NOT have any alcohol during treatment with this drug. That also includes the period of 24 to 48 hours after treatment or you will have severe vomiting, among other nasty symptoms. If you have more than one sexual partner, abstinence during treatment and for one week after completing the Flagyl is recommended. Using condoms will prevent Trichomoniasis.

trick is a parasite- though there are different ways to get it, it is a sexually transmitted disease. have you BF checked and if he refuses- get a new BF and use a condom. ps- use the vaginal meds- makes it go away faster.

Sorry to tell you that the only way to get trick is through vaginal sex.....do a search for it on yahoo and it will tell you exactly that

No.It is only due to your boy friend . All the std is due to intimate contact between the infected partner

It sounds like your boyfriend was trying to cover his a** by saying his doctor told him that. The only way to get it is by having sex.
