Angiography is the gold standard for testing for coronary artery blockage which causes angina. However if after clear angiogram you still have chest pain you must return to the doctor so he can determine why you still have chest pain.

Angiography is the best modality to check for diseased coronary arteries namely any constrictions, thickening of the walls due to fat,any clots in the arteries etc. However if you have a vasospastic angina where the arteries constrict and relax on and off then it results in the same angina pain but your arteries may be totally normal as they dont remain constricted for ever.So you may be having an angina after all.Another thing useful to know is how long back you had the test done as arteries change as age advances. If it has been a long time then a repeat angiogram is needed to assess the current state of your coronaries.Optimization of your medical therapy may be a long term cure(ie) your cardiologist may have to modify your medications based on response. In short, its advisable to meet your cardiologist.
