I am not sure what type of reaction she will experience if any, however, I would recommend you to call her doctor and tell them what happened.

Hope she took a mistaken shot of rapid insulin. It lowers the sugar peak much more but for a shorter time. That would be solved with glucose. Make her NOW a gluco test with glucometer.

If she took NPH insulin for a mistake, she she would need to be controlled all 24 hours and her glucose measured constantly during all the day until the mistaken effect fades.

If any problem arises, take her to Emergency room

Wrong insulin injection as in????? Wrong brand? (former medication?), wrong dosage??? Depending on her blood sugar it could have very negative affects. It would be best if she called her doctor and told them what she did so they can tell her if she needs to do anything to keep her blood sugar under control.

depends on the kind she took .you have some fast acting insulins that pull the blood sugars down fast and some that are slow acting such has lantus. you need to ck your mothers blood glucose every so often to see what reaction shes having , i would consider also contacting her md. best wishes beth

you haven't made it clear what was wrong in that injection eg was it expired, was it overdosed or was it taken mistakenly. any which ways it may poisonous as well for the whole body if it is wrong & your mother is diabetic i have seen one incident where the whole body of the victim turned blue & he died. i request you to put it as very high alert & approach to a diabetician asap.
i pray nothing disastrous would happen.
