Hi

I live in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area and was recently in London for a football game and went to a Turkish restaraunt afterwards and had this soft chewy latticed bread called Pide and also a flat pizza type thing called Lahmacun. I can't find them anywhere locally though, is there a website that sells them for delivery?

Thanks

You can get Pide bread at the Sicilian Italian & Turkish Take Away at 16 Cloth Market, Newcastle.

I'm surprised there are no Turkish stores in Newcastle, although I cant find any on line. They sell Pide in small duvet sized portions.

Why not go to a proper Turkish restaurant (rather than just a kebab joint) and ask where they get theirs?

I have to say they seem fairly thin on the ground, which surprises me for such a big City. Looks like you may be making your own or coming to London more often and shopping in places like Green Lanes or Dalston.

frustrating. in spite of the indisputable fact that, GOR, before everything enable me applaud your neighbourly difficulty. could that extra human beings took the sort of close pastime interior the wellbeing of our fellow homeowners. What i think of you need to do in this occasion is kindle your neighbour's instinctive want to "save up with the Joneses"; make your self a clever bread journey and parade around the community showing it off; paste a slice of bread over the different brick on your place to create a chic checker board result; depart slices of bread in clean sight on the lower back seat of your automobile. and so forth. Your neighbour will quickly be scurrying to the food market, my buddy. solid success!
