Anxiety/stress/ depression/fear - any laundry list of this type can cause the attack you describe. Try Yoga or meditation over drugs though (as most dr's choose) they have horrible side effects as well as dependency issues. Try joining a book club or other relaxing group to make new friends and introduce change into your life for fresh perspective. This type of attack is your body telling you to slow down and take a look. Good Luck!

It does sound like an anxiety attack but you should go see your Dr. to rule out any other causes. Until you get to the Dr., when you start to feel that way, stop what you're doing, take a deep slow breath in through the nose and blow slowly and steadily out through the mouth, do that at least 3 times, (slowly) and you may find that it helps you with the dizziness (you are possibly hyperventilating).
Now go call the Dr. and feel better.

Might be asthma/copd, Shortness of breath can cause most of this

Only your Dr knows for sure
