I am a 29 year old woman, weighing 129 lbs, 5'5'', I smoke and drink caffiene....
For two days in a row, my blood pressure was taken. Everyone seemed concerned with how low it was. I, on the other hand, rationalized that since my blood pressure was the same as the 12 year old boy that they had tested, I must be healthy because it was equal to a young person.
Stupid I know, but one never hears much about low blood pressure, only high blood pressure.
Anyway, here are my readings:
(Both readings were taken at the same time of the night, around 7:30)
On the first night, it was 110 over 70.
On the second night, it was 100 over 70.
Please tell me if I have cause for concern. Thanks for your time.

Your blood pressure reading is not a cause for concern at all! In fact it is quite perfect. Hypotention (low blood pressure) is classe as 60/90 or below, that is -60 diastolic & -90 systolic. Even if your blood pressure was slightly low, it would be more healthy than high, low bp becomes a cause for concern when you experience symptoms with it, dizziness, fainting, shortness of breath.. The B/P for a young adult will not be the same as for a 12-year-old. The normal range for adults is 90-140 over 60-90. We each have our own range of what is normal for us and this will generally fall within the normal range I mentioned.
100/70 is normal and fine, all things considered. However, two B/P readings taken over two days, at the same time of day isn't necessarily an accurate picture. If you were to take your blood pressure at three different times of day (morning, midday, night) and on three different days (i.e. Monday, Wednesday, Friday), you'd get a more complete picture.

For most individuals, a healthy blood pressure lies from 90/50 mmHg to 135/90 mmHg. A small drop in blood pressure, even as little as 20 mmHg, can result in transient hypotension.(Wikipedia)
Orthostatic hypotension is brought on by a sudden change in body position, usually when shifting from lying down to standing. This type of hypotension usually lasts only a few seconds or minutes. If this type of hypotension occurs after eating, it is called postprandial orthostatic hypotension. This form most commonly affects older adults, those with high blood pressure, and persons with Parkinson's disease.
NMH most often affects young adults and children. It occurs when a person has been standing for a long time. You might feel dizzy, faint, or have an upset stomach. Children usually outgrow this type of hypotension.
Severe hypotension starves your body of oxygen, which can cause damage to the heart, brain, and other organs. This type of hypotension can be life threatening if not immediately treated. (MedlinePlus)
Please see the web pages for more details on Hypotension.

OK, if this is even a real question... sheesh.... How can you be so close-minded? If he makes her happy and treats her well then who are you to say that it's wrong?? And you say that "she's so pretty" and could find "a handsome, tall man, a real American." So you're saying that if she were ugly, it would be OK to date an Asian?! (Although I personally don't know anyone from "Vietland") *smirk* lol I personally am not *typically* attracted to men who are Asian, but I have dated one or two before. And as for their equipment, there are men of ALL colors/races that have small "equipment"... it's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean... AND since WHEN is this any concern of yours, anyway?! Get off your racist pedestal and open your eyes to the world around you. If your daughter is truly happy, then back off (and no, your concerns are NOT normal, in my eyes...) I can't believe I'm even answering this question, it's probably fake anyway, lol... I guess I just wanted 2 free points lol... So thanks! :)

old saying, ' the lower the pressure, the longer you live'. 100/70 is not real low. Just hope you will always have such a good pressure.

I am nearly 45 and mine is 105/60 fairly consistently. I have never had a problem. I give blood - though it does take longer than usual.

Probably not a cause for concern. You might try to drink more orange juice.

so long as you aren't experiencing episodes of lightheadedness/dizzyness or fainting spells then there really isn't a major concern.
