Yes both can cause congestion in you lungs. Signs and symptoms of congestion in the lungs can be (but not limited to) tight feeling in the chest, loose sounding cough, productive cough (phlegm), the sounds of crackles in your lungs when you breath in and out. Some times a fever.

If you think you have congestion in you lungs, drink lots of water/juice, get some over the counter cold medicine with an "expectorant" in it like guaifenesin. If its been going on for a week or you can't get over it in a week, see a doctor.

Get a inhaler, and only sleep with one pillow, it may be dust mites you are allergic to, if so get a special pillow, change the sheets every week, make sure your room isnt dusty.

Good luck :D
