My latest best method of preparing tasty vegetables (including carrot sticks) is to place the vegetable/s into a glass or ceramic microwave dish with a close fitting lid. I place the vegetables in and add a small amount of water about 1/2 inch of water into the container with a quart or or so of vegetables... place the lid on and microwave for 10 to 15 minutes depending upon the degree of doneness (tenderness) desired. Then I use a container of Garlic Butter sauce that comes with our pizza delivery over top of them. Garlic butter sauce is also accomplished by melting a small amount of butter or margarine in a pan and adding either a clove of garlic (peeled) or an 1/8 of a teaspoon of garlic powder. Add this to the vegetables to taste. Bon Appetit!

Cut up your carrots to size you want. Par cook them till almost ready (I recommend steaming or microwaving).
Melt come butter in a pan, add crushed garlic (approx 1 clove per person) and saute until just before it turns brown (don't have the pan too hot or the butter will burn). Add your carrots and saute in the garlic and butter until you get a nice sheen on them. Add more butter if necessary.
Add salt to taste.
Serve. Eat!

melt some butter in a pan fry garlic off gently or it will burn, then add prepared carrotts and continue to cook for a few minutes. Add water to pan so it comes up about 3/4 inch in pan, cover and steam until carrotts are soft and water has almost gone.
This is lovely with honey instead of the garlic too.

crush your garlic. tip: don't use a press, just use place the side of a flat blade knife and smash down (carefully) with the side of your fist, then chop finely.
dice your carrots to required size.
melt butter in a pan, add the garlic and fry for a couple of minutes.
add the carrots, fry for five minutes more and you're done.
