Yes, Mogan David wine is pareve which means that it contains neither milk nor meat. Nor has any of the bottling and production equipment ever been exposed to milk or meat. It is absolutely Vegan.

While I am by no means a qualified expert on kashrus, it doesn't seem likely that they could be using bone char sugar as this would render the wine as fleishig and not pareve. That would mean the wine would be unfit for use at a dairy meal. Then there would be the entire question of how one could properly kosher the bones that you are presuming that they are using. So, my conclusion would still be that they don't use any animal products in the making of Mogan David wine. Though I am surprised at the answer below which says that the company refused to answer the question. Normally kosher food vendors are very open to answering questions in regards to the production methods. Perhaps it was just someone who wasn't qualified to answer that answered the phone at that time?

I'm not a wine drinker but your question got me curious! I couldn't find them or any of the other large Kosher wineries on any vegan wine list. I finally found telco numbers for the Wine group that owns Mogen David and called them to ask this question. They REFUSED to answer it!! Not what I expected from a corporation based in San Francisco. Especially since they were quite rude about it.

Kashrut would seem to indicate a higher likelihood that the wine is vegan but since bone char sugar could be used (as an example) it's still not assured.

Yes, it is vegan! I also recommend Rashi wine or 770 wine, which are also kosher brands that are vegan suitable but taste waaaaaay better. Especially the Rashi wine. Enjoy! :)
