I have this lump in my right breast, that's been there for a while. I didn't actually worry about it until a few days ago, after reading this article. I am only 13 and haven't even started my period yet. I'm really concerned, but I don't know how to talk to my mom about this. We aren't close and barely talk when she's at home. I'm really scared and don't know what to do... I never thought that I could have breast cancer? Could i have it? Or could it be something else... :[

I researched stuff about this, and it could be possible i have benign(or however you spell it). I was just wondering, can i figure it out without going to a doctor, if i DO have cancer or if it's just that other thing. & I've been trying to find ways to talk to my mom about this, it's REALLY hard for me to do this, but i know i HAVE to.... :\

There is no history of my family having any type of cancer. & the lump is movable but it moves in a kinda circular motion and not far from where it usually is. My breasts don't hurt except when i press on it (doesn't everyones?). Well, yeah, there's no discharge or anything. But i don't know..

Cancer is nothing to play around with. If you have a lump, tell your mom and get it checked out even if you don't talk much. I am a mother and i know that i would feel awful if my daughter was going through something like this and didn't talk to me about it. At your age, there is a very good chance that it is nothing to worry about but you don't want to take that chance. Breast cancer is something that i never dreamed that i would ever have, but it happened. When i found the lump i called my ob/gyn and got it taken care of right away, even though i acted quick my cancer was a stage II so don't mess around and think that it will just go away, because if it happens to be cancer it wont, it will just keep growing. So talk to you mom.....good luck

Try Vitamin C therapy. But be careful with this. A few years ago a cancer researcher came out with a paper saying that the best cancer and infection fighter as yet found was Interferon, but, at the time, it cost $15,000 a gram. The good part was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitamin C in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to make Vit C by prescription only. Guess why? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 64 mg a day, just enough to prevent scurvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prize for his work with Vit C and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemistry, said 1000 mg a day as a minimum and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. On a personal note, I was sick twice a year, for 2 weeks at a time, for 20 years, and was flat on my back for at least a week each time. To this day the doctors have no idea what the problem was. After I gave up on the doctors I tried Vit C. I took enough to keep from being sick and just below too much to get diarrhea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks with a peak at 40,000 mg a day – about 300,000 over the 2 weeks. I was not sick for those 2 weeks and after a couple of years of that I have not been sick since. I did not dissolve my kidneys, as some doctors said would happen. I did not get any calcium build up or stones and did not dissolve my cones or solidify my joints. Try it, but drink a lot of water – Vit C is a natural diuretic.

My dear Lynn, Please talk to your mother. I know if you were my child, I would want to know. She will get you to a doctor right away. I am currently on a campaign to get women to see a doctor right away when they find a lump. Granted you are very young, but it can happen. If the doctor tell you to wait and see, demand that something be done immediately. My doctor wanted me to wait and see if the lump I had would get any bigger in 6 mo. NO WAY, I told him I wanted it taken care of now. So I had the biopsy and I had malignant cancer. Now I am so much older than you. but don't take any chances with your life. I you are afraid to talk to your mom, talk to your school nurse. It may be nothing. 99% of the time, the biopsy will show NO cancer. So do something, don't wait. It's not worth it. I really don't think you have cancer at this age, but get it looked at OK? We all want to know how this turns out. So don't keep of us in the dark on this. We are rooting for you.

See a dr. It can be serious or just lumps that form in the milk ducts and many women have had that occur but do see a dr.
No one can diagnose you on the itnernet and the longer you wait the worse it can get if it is cancer. Why put yourself through a deadly situation when,if caught early on, can be easily taken care of and you can have a long happy life ahead! Don't stall-just go get it looked at! They will take a small biopsy, nothing to be scared of and it is done quickly. Do it for the sake of yourself and those who love and carfe about you. If you can't talk to your mom, just call your family doctor or that of a friend's.

I am a mammography tech and the possibility of breast cancer in a 13 year old is extremely rare. You must tell your mom and have it ultrasound very easy test where a female tech will rub a wand over the lump. Chances are that this lump you feel is just normal breast tissue.

I would not concern myself to much at this point, you are really at a young age for breast cancer,,,, lumps in the breast that are cancerous, are non-movable, and usually dont hurt, i think that hormones at your age is a good possiblity,,, you can go to web md on the net , and look up info on calcium deposits, breast cancer, fibroid cystic disease,,,, Please talk to an adult female, if you dont feel comfortable with your Mom, and if you have any questions please go to your family doctor,,, it is not worth the worry of the unknown and ruining your young life, over something you dont know what is ... ok !!

Most likely its a subaceous cyst however, any abnormality such as an unexplained lump, irregardless of where it is should be seen to by a Dr. As for telling your Mum, thats a hard question. Try and talk to Her, she may suprise you, however, if i am wrong, are you able to discuss this with a friends Mother? Maybe she can take you to get a check up.

It can be the early stages of breast cancer ... but to make sure of it, you should go and ask the doctor and see what they say since it could be nothing.

which could be very not likely. besides the tumour is often positioned contained in the decrease outside quarter of the breast or contained in the axilla. i could wait an afternoon or 2 and then take an action, yet I doubt it will be very severe.
