well i think you have just an ingrown hair.....that can happen if the pore gets blocked or if you shave there regularly......try keeping the area clean and dry and wear clothes that breath down there....that should help....you can also try putting a little hydrocrodone cream on it to relieve the redness and inflammation.....but the best thing to do is see a doctor....if yours makes you feel uncomfortable try going to a free clinic or try to make an appt. with a female doctor.....good luck

A boil is an infectious process, herpes is a virus. A boil is usually a raised area somewhat like a big pimple with a center to it that can have a yellow or green head on it. Boils are typically painful and require antibotics to heal effectively. Herpes is a cluster of blisters initially and then they rupture and become open and then crust and form a scab they hurt but the pain is more superficial.
If you are uncomfortable seeing your family Dr. please go to a county clinic you need to be evaluated by a Dr. If this is a herpes outbreak there are medications that can be prescribed that will decrease the outbreaks for you and the uncomfort of having open sores. If it is a boil and needs to be drained they can do it for you and prescribe necessary antibotics additionally. An untreated infection can cause damage to heart valves, this is very important. Good luck to you.

Please go to web md and read articles on a boil and herpes,, a boil usual is one bump , that continues to get bigger and has pus it it. Herpes ussually starts out as a hard sore knot, red and itches and hurts like ever, The doctor has several medicnes that he can give you for the herpes virus, and if it is a boil then he can give you antibiotic. The dread of it, is nothing like having the spot come back and back again, if this is herpes,, also it can be transmitted,, to your fingers also, if it is herpes, so don`t mess with these bumps , unless you have gloves on, and please get checked, you are most certainly not the only one with this.

The best way to think of it is a boil or pimple is deep (in the skin) which herpes is superficial (on the skin).

It's either razor bumps from the razor. It also be a hair bump or genital warts. To be on the safe side you should make a doctors appointment. Its always best to go there instead of guessing.
