Sharing razors is a bad idea all together. If your stepsister has AIDS then you are putting yourself at a huge risk. Even skin infections from staph can cause cellulitis or folliculitis. Razors are cheap.....what's your problem?

Don't listen to these people. You can not get HIV by sharing a razor EVER. There have been no documented cases of HIV transmission this way. Even, if she got a huge cut and bled all over the razor, you would still have to be there and use it immediately after and then have a wound thats open and hope that the running water had no chlorine in it. HIV will die when it is exposed to air and chlorinated water. So, don't worry.

Don't share a razor or mascara with anyone. You can expose yourself to many things. Does your stepsister have AIDS or any other STD? With mascara you can get eye infections. Razors can expose you to all kinds of problems.

the cdc website specifically says to avoid sharing razors and toothbrushes because of possible contact with blood. you could nic yourself with a razor and not even know it. if your stepsister has hiv/aids, you should educate yourself about safe/risky behaviors.

Its advisable that you take precautions when sharing instruments such as shavers with anyone who has a blood infected disease , I would advise that you obviously handle the situation with responsibilty if your step sister does have AIDS ?

My advise would be do not share any instrument of any nature that could result in cross infection despite if there is obvious residue of blood or not on any instruments used by another individual .
Cross infection is very high in situations where individuals share instruments such as needles or shavers and its not just AIDS that should be of concern to you.
In any situation with sharing instruments of those described with any individual within your family or outside of your family ,
there are other blood infectious diseases that can also be transmitted such as HIV, Hepatits B , Hepatitis C and others however there are also other extremly serious STD's such as syphalis , Gonareaha , Chlamydia which are not only transmitted by blood but also body fluids such as saliva.

It is not commanly known but are you aware that even kissing another individual can transmit Gonareaha and Chlamydia and syphalis. yes thats a scary thought isnt it?.sharing a toothbrush is also another way of transmiting an STD virus like these I've listed

when two parties have intercourse most frequently they have oral sex in situations like this one,
one partner may have contracted ether Gonareaha, Syphalis, Chlamyidia or all of them and may either be aware or unaware that they have contracted an STD during past contact with a previous partner , in this situation they may or may not have treated the disease with the appropriate medication.

but its not just intercourse which can transmit these STD's sharing toothbrushes or other personal items such as food utensils sharing drinks can also result in transmission and infection

Chlamyidia, Gonareaha and Syphalis are the ones I am speaking of and despite a lack of television commercials they are the most common currently, as is the genital wart virus which they now have a vacine for because it has proven to be the cause of cervical cancer

During oral sex these diseases if present in either partners genital area or throat can be transmitted into the throat or genitals of the partner peforming the oral sex, then likewise transmitted again when kissing a new partner .
These diseases are commonaly transmitted into the throat not just the genital area . though many individuals are unaware of this fact ,these diseases are very serious and the treatment for Gonareaha and Chlamydia are very dangerous some individuals can suffer allergic reactions to the medication such as permanent hearing loss , stroke or even in more serious cases Death.
Trachoma is also another very very serious side affect of Chlamydia and Gonereah ,Trachoma happens when either of the two virus Gonerreah or Chlymidia are in the serious stages Trachoma leads to permanent scarring of the eye and blindness .

Im adding all this information to my answer of your question about AIDS because I think your an individual concerned with your future and health.

If you need any additional information go to your local family planning centre or look up womens health online

Only if she has AIDS and cut herself with it, got blood on the razor and then you cut yourself with it and her blood got in your cut.

But if warm water was used, I'm sure there was a good chance any virus got killed.

just as long as the razor doesnt have blood on it and you dont cut yourself on the razor, you're fine.

Yes if she is AIDS carrier. Even though we don't cut ourselves when using it but hey, razor is sharp and DON'T take chances.

it depends if either of you have AIDS. best bet is have seperate razors- its more sanitary for you to have yours and your step sister to have hers
