not all the tap water in the whole of Spain comes out brown - it may be a freak thing in the area you have come across. Speak to the people who staff the resort you are at to complain if necessary.
Regarding ice cubes, you should be able to tell if it is from brown water if the cubes are brown and regarding the salad it is always best to avoid uncooked vegetables in any foreign country you are travelling to as a rule. also ask for cooled drinks without ice to stay safe.

Spanish mains tap water is safe to drink.
BUT if it comes out brown, I would not use it. (I like to think that I am not stupid).
In the north of Scotland, water is often brown because of the peat in it. You ask the locals if it's safe.
Hot water in Spanish holiday hotels is often brown this time of year because of rust collecting in the tank over the winter when the hotel is empty. Run the tap until it clears...........well within reason.
It is unlikely that the water in the kitchen is not clean but it is always a risk to stay in a holiday hotel when it first opens.
Then there's legionnaires' disease....!

spain, like malta use direct water supply for the kitchen, & water tank for washers, bathrooms & garages!it is illegal to do otherwise!i know, as i am maltese! we get brownish water every now & again! there are various reasons for these...the most common is a shortage of water supply.....so thus the metal pipes dry & get rusty & water comes out that way when supply returns!we usually let water runs out the tap for some time before we actually, shower, do the laundry or even cook with it! you'lll find that on small islands you get different tastes of water, with some being to salty to drink!
i recomend to buy bottled water for drinking! but feel safe to use tap water for showering!it is safe! we have had no one die of water contemination!

That's stupid. It isn't supposed to be brown. Maybe it's flowing like that because the tap hasn't been opened in years or a longtime. Or it maybe because of rust or whatever. Tell the authorities. They'll fix it. Use bottled water for drinking.

sounds like rust contained in the water. After time, it collects contained in the again of the bathroom. you are able to graceful it off and it is going to flush away with some flushes, in reality to go back again with time. There ia a product for sale that limits a number of this rust contained in the bathroom tank. A iron/rust eliminating pill that you position contained in the again of the bathroom/tank. do no longer enable pets to drink from the bathroom bowl in case you make certain to apply this. As for the clean water contained in the sink, bath, etc. it may no longer be as clean because it type of feels. attempt operating some contained in the tub and placed the stopper in. some inches of water contained in the tub will coach you its genuine colour. same for the sink. The water could look yellowish/orangish there too. do not understand why the bathroom bowl water abruptly began searching discolored?? if you're noticing no residue on your outfits after washing and no rings contained in the tub or sink then you definately no longer have any problems with the rust contained in the water.

I don't know for sure but my grandma had a well and her water was reddish brown because of rust in the inside pipes (I think)? It had a different "flavor". We never got sick or died from it and she never had the well tested. We even all drank from the same outside well cup and it stayed outside and never got washed, only rinsed right there. Maybe from iron rusting? Just think of it as extra iron in your diet.

This happened to us whilst we were in malta. water looked awful,.
I think they use bottled water to do ice cubes and to wash salads.
Think the water is brown through contamination and rust.
