i personally think its absolutely disgusting. It tastes nothing like meat, in fact it doesnt taste of anything. I'd rather eat vegetarian things that arent supposed to taste like meat but dont, like potatoes and cheese

I used to eat Quorn. I agree with some of the comments made already though... you have to flavour it with a nice seasoning or sauce for it to taste nice. On it's own it is very bland. The texture is more 'meaty' than tofu and it seems to 'take' the seasonings a lot better than it's soya counterpart too.
On the other hand though, I've given up quorn because it's basically just a protein of a fungus. Fungii, including some mushrooms, are basically the scavengers of the plant world, much like pigs, rats, lobsters and shrimps in the animal world. In the US, there are court cases against Quorn because it was claimed to use mushroom protein. Now they call it mycoprotein, because it is made from another fungus/mold. I know that a lot of people in the US have also suffered adverse effects from eating Quorn. At the end of the day, it's yet another highly processed food, designed as a substitute for meat. In truth, the vegetarian / vegan diet doesn't need a substitute for meat because it already contains everything we need without us having to have something on the plate that looks, tastes and smells like meat.

Personally I don't like any meat substitutes and don't see why I should eat them since I don't like meat.
There are so many options available being a vegetarian. Quorn isn't vegan anyway, and I am not even sure what this mycoprotein is and does and how it affects the body after a longer time. Apart from that, all these products contain too much fat and salt and are actually just a replacement for junk food.

The sausages are quite tasty but can be a bit dry, the mince and chicken pieces are nice if mixed with a sauce. The burgers are really tasty too. I'm not a vegetarian but I do like to eat quorn for a change from meat.

I wish I was able to eat quorn, as Im a vegetarian and quorn do such a variety of things,ie, chicken breast (not real chicken of course) etc, and most shops have a quorn selection, but for some reason it just gives me a really bad stomach, so I cant eat it.

Southern fried quorn burgers are nice but the mince and chicken style cubes is quite bland. It takes a lot of imaginative recipes to make it interesting. Linda Mcartney range is much more flavourfull, paricularly the sausages!

Some vegetarians prefer other vegetarian options because quorn tastes like meat personally (me being acmails sis) prefer other options because it looks like meat

Quorn is basically about as healthy as a Twinkie.
If you read the label, it has so much junk in it, it's not funny.
It is more important, I think, for us vegetarians to eat only healthy foods, and Quorn is not good for you.

morrisons do a good veggie sausage and burger range and reasonably priced too quorn products are a little bland but are a useful source of protien when i use it i make a sauce that has loads of flavour its as easy to make your own as too rely on processed but takes a little time in preperation i make my own nut roasts and you know with a little imagination you can turn the most boring of vegetables into a dish with pzaz for instance how about a mushroom burger take a large mushroom spread a mix of garlic butter and chopped parsley wrap it in foil and bake in oven for about 20 mins serve on burger bun with fried red onions mmmm (who says veggie has to b healthy )

I use Quorn for quite a few recipes,IE chilli's curries, as they all contain strong flavours, Quorn is very bland, but if you add spices, herbs, and flavours you can not tell the difference, it is all so healthy for you as it is very low in fat, ideal if your on a diet.
