I am not diabetic and I am thankful for that. Being someone who hasn't had to deal with this on a daily basis, I don't know if the lancets come with the monitors and all that stuff. The reason I want to know is because my biology class is doing an experiment with elimination, perricone, and schwarzbein diets to see if the diets make blood sugar and glucose levels go up or down and how that effects energy level. In order to check this we are to use the glucometers and all that stuff. I found a cheaper monitor that I can by at Walmart, but it would be kind of silly to get the monitor and not have the lancet. So if I need to get that separately it would be nice to know before I go shopping, and who better to ask than those people who deal with diabetic supplies routinely?!

You can buy the lancets separately. They come in boxes of 200.
You may get a few with a monitor. It is the test strips that are expensive and can cost up to $2.50 each.

Monitors always come complete with lancets tofit whatever device they provide..you can also have your supplies sent directly to you by several services out there..Liberty is one, and there are many available, search for diabetic suppliers....Good Luck! Michelle

When you buy a monitor it comes with a few. You have to buy them separately but they are very cheap. The big expense is the test strips which can cost up to $1 each.

If you buy a monitor it won't come with lancets b/c you need a perscription to get them.

U'll get one or two free with it, but if u need to buy more, they will come in boxes of 100 upwards.
