I have had a few GF and i always say i got it from them. They all bought it :-) but when i told my latest GF (present) she said no way, she was a virgin when i met her. Is there any other way to get herpes? If so i like to know so i can tell her she got it on a public toilet or something.

no, HSV doesn't contract by using public toilet or something like that. Skin to Skin contact is the main point!
So, you can't fool her with a story like that.
Admit it and she will be able to understand if she really loves you. Tell her that it's annoying but can't kill a life. Though always be careful contracting other STDs when having outbreak and open wound. it's easier to contract other diseases with that open wound than unopen skin. It will be with you and her for the rest of the life but people with herpes can live normal lives as the others.
I contracted 6 yrs ago. I am married and pregnant now. I told my husband about this even before we were dating. He understands me because i explained to him the nature of the disease. You may not be considering for marriage yet but it's always good to inform someone without being shy so that they can be careful and they can prevent from getting it or passing it to the others. Be a man. don't be a coward. If you do not tell her the truth, you will not know whether she loves you truely or not! If you do not need it, then still tell her make up stories but obviously she will find out one day no matter how you hide it by make up stories.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. you don wear condoms coz herpes is what you get with banging different sexual partners,at any given time, so go to your doctor for treatment before it gets too serious for you to handle,and while you're at it, go see a psychiatrist coz you obviously dont know what is a good habbit and a right conduct,you dont have what it takes to be human so you cant be a man, get my drift?! as for your girlfriend, go and have her treated as well, then shoulder the medical bills, that's one way to be descent, then let go of her coz you dont deserve her
