Hmm maybe you should get some X-Rays on your chest, could be heartburn damaging your esophogus. Ask your doctor if you can get that whole area of your chest X-Rayed because you're in alot of pain.
Good luck :)
P.S. Don't worry so much, if it wasn't your heart then you shouldn't worry :)

Chest pain is a very serious medical issue. If you are continuing to have it you should be seeking medical attention immediately. The first things they should check are cardiac enzymes (Troponin and CK), also a 12 lead EKG. Also Is it relieved with Nitro tabs? These are things that should be done in any event of chest pain of unknown origin. Go to an ER! You are better safe than sorry when it comes to chest pain. Goodluck

If it was serious, the doctor would've picked it up with the tests he did. It sounds a lot like acid reflux or something - try taking peppermint capsules or Rennies.
Or, another reason could be that you popped a muscle when you coughed hard or lifted a heavy object. If that's what it is, give it a week or two. Extremely painful but it goes!

don't stop just because preliminary work up looked fine. it could be just acid reflux that has caused damage to your esophagus or it could be something more. If you don't have any other symptoms, EI: sweats, nausea, vomiting, pain radiating to left jaw and down left arm, you might want to try some type of acid reducer. One that is good is prilosec otc. It worked for my husband. If you are having the above mentioned symptoms, find another doctor or hospital that is known for cardiac care. Good luck.

It sounds like it might be something like I once had. It's some kind of strained muscle in that area of your chest. I had a dr. prescribe a muscle relaxer med for it. I had to eat to take it, and I slept a lot. In fact, as far as I was concerned, I felt like I slept too much. Please, go back to the dr asap, and get checked for a strained muscle to do with the sternum area, etc. of your chest. I wish you the best. Take care.

many teens and adults experience periods of having chest pains in their lifetime...
a majority of this is actually not respiratory diseases or cardiovascular problems but rather simple muscle spasms. You have muscles in your chest area, and most likely these are just having spasms or were stretched a bit too far one day. don't worry about it. it'll disappear in about a week or two.
