i want a great 21st party with the nice wallpaper behind as a backdrop for my guests to have their photo taken by the photographer. i want my party to be like a clubbing event and also cater to my aunts and uncle who just need a nice place to chill and have a beer. with a buffet line like a cocktail party, i need a space which can let me do all 3. my cousins are also coming, some at the age of 12 or so and i cant make things too 'over' as it will be a bad example. im thinkin of a place with a minimum of 2 rooms so i can hold my different guests and a hall large enough ofr 150ppl to mingle around with enough space as they drink and chat up. a bartender will also be necessary as im not intending to let the alcohols be like a buffet line. im living in singapore so getting a space which can fit my requirements is pretty hard. give me ideas please!! :-) check out my blog for the ideas that im heading at. www.xanga.com/dalethecurry

you need to save your money and put it into a ira or the bank with what it sounds like this party will cost you with ten years you mits have a small lump

Pick two colors and make that your theme- like pink and black or black and silver, or if it's spring, cream and sage, etc...You can do a city/cocktail theme or a tea party/garden party for decorations. That would depend on your taste. If you go city/martini style, go for black, white and silver- have matchbooks as favors (very Hollywood), and have elegant drink napkins and swizzle sticks. If you go garden, you have a lot of food and decorating options. OR totally throw all that out and do a masquerade ball.
NEXT- have a big box of props for the photographer- WIGS especially, and big sunglasses and boas. The kids willhave a blast and people can end up wearing them after the photographer is done. post all the photos on a website.
Have a few people do speeches/roasts- pick people who are funny and you don't mind telling stories about you.
Have music people can dance to and lots of drinks...Have FUN!

My suggestion.......have a small family gathering with food, beer etc......late in the afternoon 2 or 3 and then go out with your friends later in the evening 9ish..........and go bar hopping.
