Well, your left side of your heart is the side that pumps the blood to the rest of your body, it is the stronger side. And laying on your left side will increase your cardiac output because of this. Some people just cant lay on there left side because of this. Now the fact that you had some ablations done, you have been having palpations, or ectopic beats in your heart anyway, so having any palpatations warrants a call to your doctor. Good luck.

I have the same problem. You need to go to the doctor to get that checked out. It feels like my heart is going to jump in my throat sometimes. It's a very weird and scary experience. You need them to rule out conditions such as mitral valve prolapse syndrome. I ended up having tachycardia (fast heart rate) A lot of times palpitations just happen for no reason. Just check it out to be sure. Good luck.

You need to report this to your doctor and perhaps have an echocardiogram run. Watch your caffeine intake too. Palpitations are not normal.

Well maybe because of all the weight your putting to your left side where your heart is. Especially if on your side you are also twisting your body which also shifts body weight to teh left side. so sleep on your back if it's better for you.
